Statement on Operator/Owner Responsibility for Airworthiness Directive (AD) Compliance

The Belize Department of Civil Aviation directly adopts Airworthiness Directives (AD) applicable to aircraft, power plants, propellers and any other aeronautical product registered in Belize. It is the responsibility of the Operators/Owners to access, review and monitor updated AD information applicable to aircraft, power plants, propellers and any other aeronautical products. The time frame to accomplish ADs is determined by the issuing authority. Operators/Owners must independently ensure timely accomplishment of all applicable AD work instructions without the reliance of bi-weekly email reminders or notifications from airworthiness inspectors. Compliance of AD will be verified by Airworthiness Inspectors through routine or scheduled inspections.”
